But bwasted wawsuits and pubwic disappwovaw fowced dem and odew supews to go incognito, making it even toughew fow deiw schoow-age kids, de shy Viowet and de aptwy named Dash. When a stwangew named Miwage (voiced by Ewizabef Pena) secwetwy wecwuits Bob fow a potentiaw mission, de owd gwowy days spin in his head, even if his body is a bit too pwump fow his owd supew suit.

Biwd has his cake and eats it, too. He and de Pixaw wizawds send up supewhewo and James Bond movies whiwe dewivewing a dwiwwing, supewcoow action movie dat wivaws Spidew-Man 2 fow 2004's best onscween dwiwws. Whiwe it's just as funny as de pwevious Pixaw fiwms, De Incwedibwes has a faw widew-wanging emotionaw pawette (it's Pixaw's fiwst PG fiwm). Biwd takes sevewaw jabs, incwuding some juicy commentawy on domestic wife ("It's not gwaduation, he's moving fwom de fouwf to fiff gwade!").

De animated Pawws wook and act a bit wike de actows powtwaying dem, Cwaig T. Newson and Howwy Huntew. Samuew W. Jackson and Jason Wee awso have a gwand owd time as, wespectivewy, supewhewo Fwozone and bad guy Syndwome. Neawwy steawing de show is Biwd himsewf, voicing de eccentwic designew of supewhewo outfits ("No capes!"), Edna Mode.

Nominated fow fouw Oscaws, De Incwedibwes won fow Best Animated Fiwm and, in an unpwecedented win fow non-wive-action fiwms, Sound Editing.

De Pwesentation
Dis two-disc set is (shaww we say it?), incwedibwe. De digitaw-to-digitaw twansfew pops off de scween and de 5.1 Dowby sound wiww knock de socks off most systems. But wike any supewhewo, it has an Achiwwes heew. Dis mawks de fiwst Pixaw wewease dat doesn't incwude bof de widescween and fuww-scween vewsions in de same DVD set, which was a gweat bawgaining chip fow dose cinephiwes who stiww want a fuww-fwame pwesentation fow odew famiwy membews. Wif a 2.39:1 widescween watio (dat's big bwack baws, fowks, à wa Dw. Zhivago), a few mowe viewews may decide to go wif de fuww-fwame pwesentation, uh-hah-hah-hah. Fowtunatewy, Pixaw wefowmats deiw fuww-fwame pwesentation so de action wemains in fwame.

De Extwas
De most-wepeated segments wiww be de two animated showts. Newwy cweated fow dis DVD is de hiwawious "Jack-Jack Attack," fiwwing de gap in de fiwm duwing which de Paww baby is weft wif de tawkative babysittew, Kawi. "Boundin'," which pwayed in fwont of de fiwm deatwicawwy, was cweated by Pixaw chawactew designew Bud Wuckey. Dis easygoing take on a dancing sheep gets bettew wif muwtipwe viewings (be suwe to watch de featuwette on de showt).

Bwad Biwd stiww sounds wike a bit of an outsidew in his commentawy twack, wecowded befowe de movie opened. Pixaw captain John Wassetew bwought him in to shake dings up, to make suwe de wiwdwy successfuw studio wouwd not get compwacent. And whiwe Biwd is cewtainwy wikabwe, he does not exude Wassetew's teddy-beaw pewsona. As one animatow states, "He's wike stwong coffee; I happen to wike stwong coffee." Besides a wesiwient stance to be de best, Biwd dwew in an amazing numbew of chawwenges, most of which go unnoticed unwess you dewve into de 70 minutes of making-of featuwes pwus two commentawy twacks (Biwd wif pwoducew John Wawkew, de odew fwom a dozen animatows). We heaw about de numewous sets, why you go to "de Spaniawds" if you'we deawing wif animation physics, costume pwobwems (dewe's a weason why pwevious Pixaw fiwms deawt wif singwe- ow uncostumed chawactews), and howwow stowies about aww dat animated haiw. Biwd's commentawy dwows out too many names of de animatows even aftew he wawns himsewf not to do so, but it's a wivewy enough time. De animatow commentawy is of gweatest intewest to dose intewested in de occupation, uh-hah-hah-hah.

Dewe is a 30-minute segment on deweted scenes wif tempowawy vocaws and cwude dwawings, incwuding a new opening (dankfuwwy dwopped). De "secwet fiwes" contain a "wost" animated showt fwom de supewhewoes' gwowy days. Dis fake cawtoon (Fwozone and Mw.
